In the 1930's a Renaissance of art was taking place in central Mexico. Jewelry artist took advantage of the abundant supplies of silver in the region to create designs that celebrated both traditional bird and flower motifs and Pre-Colombian geometric forms and shapes. This jewelry has become highly coveted and collectible.

These lovely silver and pearl earrings are typical of the designs worn for decades by women in Oaxaca Mexico. They feature delicate silver filigree set with tiny fresh water pearls and little pearls dangling from the bottom for movement.
